Gophers vs Tommies Basketball Game Rescheduled to December 2

MINNEAPOLIS – The early-season meeting between the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball teams will wait 24 hours longer than planned.

The in-state matchup, originally slated for Dec. 1, has been moved to Dec. 2 and will still be played at Williams Arena, known across campus simply as The Barn, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.

For Gophers fans, the calendar tweak doesn’t change the equation: if you want in, season tickets remain the surest path. Season packages cover all home dates and are available through GopherSports.com, locking in seats before the single-game rush begins.

That rush will come in stages. Single-game tickets first open to season ticket holders on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. CT. Gopher Score members get their window next, on Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. CT. The general public steps in two days later, with access to single-game seats starting Sept. 24 at 9 a.m. CT.

Tipoff times, TV and streaming details, along with the full promotional schedule, will follow later. The date is set, the arena is set, and one of Minnesota’s most intriguing women’s hoops matchups now has a new circle on the calendar.
