Lille are weakened where it hurts. Matias Fernandez-Pardo is unavailable until his transfer saga clears, a significant hole in their plans. Ayoubb Bouaddi has gone as well, a departure the club had long braced for. The page has been turned, but the ink is still wet.
PSG travel without Ousmane Dembélé, stripping some chaos and incision from their attack. Even so, the expectation remains the same: win, and win with authority. Another misstep and the questions about preparation, sharpness and direction will grow louder.

Lyon’s meeting with Le Havre brings rare unanimity. Both Luke and Bastien go for 2–1 to Lyon, a nod to superior quality but an acknowledgement that Le Havre won’t just roll over.
Lorient v Troyes looks like a grind. Luke calls 0–0, a game of few chances and fewer risks. Bastien gives Lorient the edge at home with a 1–0 win. Either way, no one is expecting a thriller.
Paris FC, Nice, and a Clash of Views
In the capital, but not at the Parc des Princes, Paris FC host Nice in a game that splits the panel cleanly.
Luke backs Paris FC to nick it 1–0, perhaps sensing early-season turbulence for Nice. Bastien goes the other way, calling a 1–0 away win and trusting the visitors to show their quality on the road. It’s the kind of thin-margin fixture that can swing the season-long duel between the two pundits.
Rennes, fresh from that stern test against PSG, now welcome Le Mans. Luke predicts a statement: 4–0 Rennes, an attacking showcase. Bastien is only slightly more restrained at 3–1. Both see a gulf in class. Both expect Rennes to underline their ambitions.
Monaco v Marseille: Fireworks on the Riviera
The Riviera fixture carries its own charge. Monaco against Marseille rarely disappoints, and the predictions reflect that tension.
Luke expects control from the Principality side: 2–0 to Monaco, a professional, polished home win. Bastien, by contrast, sees chaos and goals. His 2–2 call suggests an open, swinging contest where neither side manages to shut the door.
