Marcus Rashford has found space for two more numbers on his skin.
The Manchester United forward has added 14 and 9 to his growing gallery of tattooed shirt numbers, according to Manchester-based artist Dale McGovern. They join 39, 19 and 10 – a career mapped out in ink as much as in goals and appearances.
Each number carries a story. The 14 takes him back to Barcelona, his first move abroad, where he wore the shirt while helping the Catalan side to a La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup. That season marked a different rhythm to his game and a different stage, and now it sits permanently alongside the milestones that came before and after.
The 9 speaks to another chapter. Rashford used it at Aston Villa, then brought it back with him when he returned to Old Trafford, pulling on the same number again. It is also the fourth shirt number he has worn for United, another layer in a career that refuses to stand still.
