Raphinha has ended a summer of noise with one clear message: he is not going anywhere. Not now. Maybe not ever.
After months of speculation about a possible move away, the Brazilian has confirmed he wants to stay at Barcelona long term and is already looking towards a new contract with the club.
“I renewed until 2028 with the idea that, by then, I would be 30 or 31 years old and I didn't know how I would manage,” he told RAC1. That was the plan then. It no longer feels like the plan now.
