Zion Williamson Denies Rape Allegations in Lawsuit

Zion Williamson has formally pushed back against a lawsuit accusing him of rape and years of abuse, insisting the relationship at the center of the case was nothing more than a consensual “friends with benefits” arrangement.

In new legal filings obtained by TMZ, the New Orleans Pelicans star issues a blanket denial of every allegation made by the woman, identified in court documents as Jane Doe. His attorneys state she was not harmed by him “in any way” and reject claims of assault, sexual battery, domestic violence, and stalking.

Williamson characterizes their relationship as “friendly and casual,” saying the two never lived together and that their encounters were “pleasant and consensual.” He maintains there was no assault or sexual battery at any point.

According to the filings, Williamson says Doe often tried to initiate sex, including times when he was unavailable or out of town. He contends the relationship ended by May 2023 and argues that her claims are barred by the applicable statutes of limitations.

He also attacks the domestic violence allegation as “nonsensical,” asserting they did not share a residence or see each other frequently enough for their situation to qualify as a domestic relationship under the law.

On top of that, Williamson’s legal team argues that California statutes governing sexual battery, domestic violence, and stalking do not apply to conduct she alleges occurred in North Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana. He maintains that no wrongful conduct took place in any of those states, in California, or anywhere else.

The lawsuit, previously reported by TMZ, accuses Williamson of raping and terrorizing the woman over several years. He has consistently denied those accusations and has claimed she is attempting to extort him.
